M.A. Simonetti (born October 10) is a contemporary American author of the Malibu Mystery mystery novel series. An avid traveler, she has been known to collect shells from beaches around the world. Simonetti originally worked as a caterer in San Francisco until she met Martin. As her married life began, the family moved so often that Simonetti grew homesick for California and the beach lifestyle. Thus, Alana Fox was born. Mary Ann Simonetti is a graduate of the University of Washington Mystery Writing program. She is currently writing the next installment in her Malibu Mystery Series.
